Gringo is Willie Nep?

From Malaya: Agents of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group yesterday cordoned off the Manila Hotel after receiving reports that former Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan was about to hold a press conference.

But then, Honasan turned out to be impersonator Willie Nepomuceno who was plugging his show...

Very funny. Were the arresting officers real members of the PNP-CIDG or impersonators also?

On the serious side, however, the CIDG troop movement simply shows how their intelligence gathering has degenerated. Which is to be feared. If they have become dull:

1. Baka mang-aresto na lang sila ng mang-aresto na di muna nila inaalam ang backgroundng inaaresto. Then na-harass na iyong inaresto nila eh hindi naman pala talaga iyon ang dapat arestuhin? Remember the alleged terrorist na inaresto ng PNP which caused the break-up of ABS-CBN and Gloria in the Palace? This arrested guy-whose-name-i-forgot happened to be a businessman at hindi naman pala talaga terorista.
2. Baka i-implement na lang nila ng i-implement ang mga utos ni intelligent Querol at Gloria in the Palace without doing a scrutiny. Resulta, chaos and anarchy. Tulad sa mga rally? Hindi ba, Ka Willie? Ibig sabihin, goodbye PNP. See you in munti... hihihi.
